AMENDMENDING ORDINANCE 22-10-4 and 13-7-2 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE OF
FINES FOR TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS
FOR THE VILLAGE OF WAYNESFIELD, OHIO
WHEREAS, Mayor’s Court is established to protect the health welfare and safety of the public.
BE IT THEREFORE ORDAINED, by the Council of the Village of Waynesfield a majority of its elected members concurring:
SECTION A: Speeding: (over posted speed limit):
First Offense Second Offense
1- 10 MPH $130.00 $175.00
11- 15 MPH $145.00 $205.00
16-20 MPH $155.00 $245.00
21- 25 MPH $175.00 $260.00
26 + Mandatory Appearance
3rd speed offense in one year, defendant must appear
SECTION B: Seatbelt:
Driver $ 80.00
Passenger $ 70.00
Child Restraint $ 130.00
SECTION C: Stop Sign
Stop Sign: $150.00
SECTION D: All other traffic violations:
$ 125.00
SECTION E: Possession of Marijuana and Marijuana Paraphernalia
$150 per offense
SECTION F: Court Cost:
$ 150.00 per court appearance
Costs of magistrate at $100 per each appearance
Costs of any and all court correspondence/mailings
SECTION G: Parking Violations:
If paid within 3 days $ 30.00
After 3rd day $ 40.00
SECTION H: Impound Fees:
An impounded vehicle shall be released upon payment
of the tow bill and a $35/day impound fee. Payment shall be
made to the Clerk of Courts. A vehicle impounded less than 24 hours still results in a one day impound fee.
***PLEASE NOTE: Impound fees ONLY apply if the vehicle is impounded to a Village of Waynesfield impound lot. If a private tow company impounds the vehicle, fees may be different.
