The Village of Waynesfield was founded in 1848. Under the Ohio Revised Code, the Village operates with a mayor, six village council members, and a village administrator. Other employees include a police chief, fiscal officer, utility clerk, clerk of mayor’s court, electrical professional, water/sewer professional, general laborer, and part-time/seasonable help.
The mayor and village council members serve four year terms, while the employees – including the village administrator – are appointed positions. Of the appointed positions, only the mayor’s court clerk and seasonable employee(s) are part-time.
